Figure:  a carcass unloader at a 180° curve, a fragment of the overhead conveyor of the evisceration line is also visible (shackles for automatic machines)

The carcass unloader is designed for releasing carcasses from shackles in a poultry evisceration line.

Design and operation:

The carcass unloader is made of stainless, acid-resistant materials. It is suspended from the supporting structure of the overhead conveyor. Carcasses transported in shackles of the overhead conveyor (after their feet are cut) are transferred to guiding rods of the unloader, where they are automatically pushed off the shackles. The unloader is driven by the chain conveyor over a curve.

Benefits of using the shackle unloader include:

– operatorless work

– simple design and materials used for its construction allow for proper cleaning of the machine.
